NEW BEDFORD, MA – The Greater New Bedford Association of Realtors have selected Lori A. Nery, CBR, LMS, GRI as 2102 REALTOR® of The Year.

REALTOR® of The Year is the highest honor that the REALTOR Association can bestow upon one of its members. The honor goes to the REALTOR who in the past year has gone above and beyond in their business, the community, and all levels of the REALTOR Association. In addition, this individual has to exemplify the REALTOR® spirit, which Lori certainly does.

Lori was honored at the annual ROTY Dinner on September 27, 2012, at the Century House before her fellow Realtors, affiliates, friends and family.

Lori is also the GrNBAR’s nomination for the ROTY Award at the state level. Lori was honored at the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS at the 2012 Awards night on September 19, 2012, during the Conference and Trade Show in Providence, RI.

Lori is a full time real estate Broker and Owner of Coastal Realty. She is a UMASS Dartmouth Graduate and has over 30 years of real estate and business experience.

She has achieved the designations of Certified Buyer Representative (CBR), Loss Mitigation Specialist (LMS) Graduate Realtor Institute of Massachusetts (GRI) and a Whale Historic House Specialist.

Lori served as the 2011 President of the Greater New Bedford Association of Realtors and has served on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Association of Realtors. In addition Lori has served on the REALTOR Political Activities Committee, Government Affairs Committee, Programs Committee and Community Service Committee.

Lori is a member of the American Business Women’s Association. Other organizations that Lori has served include the American Cancer Society, United Way of Greater New Bedford, Charlton Memorial Hospital, SouthCoast Hospital Groups, the Salvation Army, The Women’s Fund, and a sponsor / volunteer for Sharon’s Walk.
